Ingredients:
2 oz brandy (you can use your preferred type of brandy, such as Cognac or Armagnac)
1 sugar cube (or 1/2 oz simple syrup)
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Orange peel or a brandied cherry, for garnish
Ice
Instructions:
Start by placing the sugar cube in an Old Fashioned glass.
Add two dashes of Angostura bitters to the glass. Adjust the amount of bitters to your taste preference.
Muddle the sugar cube with the bitters to dissolve it and create a flavorful base. You can use a muddler or the back of a spoon for this step.
Add a half-ounce of Ariston Maple Syrup Infused Balsamic to the glass.
Fill the glass with ice, preferably a large ice cube or ice sphere. Stir briefly to combine the ingredients.
Pour in 2 ounces of your chosen brandy.
Stir gently, using a bar spoon, for about 15-20 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the cocktail.
Garnish the cocktail with a strip of orange peel. Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink by holding it over the glass, giving it a slight twist to release its aroma, and then placing it in the glass.
Alternatively, you can garnish with a brandied cherry for a sweeter touch.
Serve and enjoy your Maple Infused Brandy Old Fashioned cocktail.
